my shadow people

Here is a little idea I cooked up to do here in Vancouver, down on the lower east end. after really thinking about it I decided to share the plan with you and hope some of you do this as well in your city or town.
and this is the crimefighting tools you need for this

this is what is used to make 'shadow people'

First let me explain about the 'shadow people'.
When the U.S. dropped the two atomic bombs in Japan thousand of people were incenarated in an instant. however a shadow made by the blast left their 'shadow' etched in walls and streets. a grim reminder that in those spots once stood living people.

Years ago in Toronto, one August, a group of people went out and drew shadow people everywhere with chalk as a reminder of what happend in Japan. it got a LOT of attention.

I was thinking along similar lines but instead of chalk 'people' I would draw a chalk body outline like you see on TV shows. I would outline a body on the sidewalk and inside of it I would write 'heroin', 'crack. 'meth', etc. you get the idea. I would sign each one with my name down by the foot.
I plan on doing them in front of the police station and city hall, the art gallery, gastown as well as the downtown eastside.

Now I'm thinking we could all do this in our cities and see what if any the results are. you could sign them if you want, write anything you want inside. ("hate", "racism")

maybe it wont amount to anything but it's a cheap and easy message to send. these things written inside the figure can kill you.

just a idea.

What about using this idea to tag drug houses/corners?

that's where I put some. known corners and locations. also in high profile areas to get people thinking.
