why I wear a 'watchmen' pin

somebody asked me why I wore a 'Watchmen' pin on my outift.

first- to me it's the comedian pin. Watchmen pins are the doomsday clock if I'm not mistaken. mine is a replica of the one from the comic and the movie worn by the comedian.

the comedian was a parody on the society he saw around him. he saw the parody of life and became what he was.
I know that I am not death himself. (herself?) if anything I am the opposite of death by dispencing life when I can. unlike the secretive figure of death, and even though I wear a mask, I am not hidden and unseen in much of what I do.
so, like the comedian being the parody of life, I am the parody of death.

I know some of you will get this.

All of us who actually understand the material and heard of it before the movie consider it the comedian pin, but it has almost became a logo for watchmen now. I blame the movie. If you type watchmen pin in on google the clock is no where to be seen. (I stopped after 3 pages).

I mentioned on Heroes Network that I watched Watchmen for the first time the other day, I forgot to mention something though, something I found strange, see in the sex scene with Lori and Nite Owl, they had the song Hallelujah playing in the background, since when does a song like that get played in a sex scene lol, though it was a good film, a bit weird that the comedian turned out top be Lori's dad

That scene was meant to be taken as kind of a joke. I swear I heard that in an interview or special feature someplace.

Well it was kinda funny as it's not what i'm used to in a sex scene, but really cool(the film not the sex scene lol)

He writes poetry? I have some of his music, but wasn't aware of that.

his songs come from some of his poems. he has lots that have never been made into music though.

I'll need to check it out sometime
