Should be already active

Hello Professor -

Your hardware router's firewall should be active by default. Under the various options, look for Network Address Translation (NAT) &/or Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI). Both are best, if possible. Links to Wikipedia for further reading.

Bonus points if you also use software firewalls on each computer.

Shatter,

Thanks, I will give it a try later. I plan on canceling my internet and a laptop computer with an internet dongle. That way it will be cheaper, and more secure. I don't feel for 111 dollars a month I'm getting the internet I am paying for.

sincerely,

steve
