A good night's patrol

Hello Folks,
I don’t make many posts as a rule but I just have to share this one. Now Superman (the Principal of this school) is also the leader of the Earth Agents NY branch of Earth Agents. Not exactly news I’ll grant you to the majority of those who will read this. But important to keep in mind to get the total picture of what I’m going to tell you. Now normally Old Super seems to be a quiet sort of a guy that small kids immediately take to. A perfect Grandfather type. Probably a real Hell Raiser in his day but the guy is 60 now so you don’t expect all that much when it comes to physical stuff. Especially when you take into account he had a triple bypass with some major league complications. That’s why he usually has us younger guys man the War Wagon on patrol. Not wanting to tell tales out of school you’ll have to ask Superman exactly what the War Wagon looks like. But it’s what we use for our patrols. Well we were a tad short handed last night so he went along for the ride to do close tech support. Mostly just scanning radio frequencies and mapping our route for the night. Low risk stuff. At least it is as long as you stay in the War Wagon. We came up on some thugs trying to mug a lady with a kid. We pop open the back doors and before any of the rest of us can move Superman is out the back with a Pugal Stick wailing on the bad guys. For those who don’t know a Pugal Stick is an oversized Q-tip like they use on American Gladiators. Not sure where he learned his moves but it was a beautiful sight to see. He now heads the list of folks I’m not ever going to mess with. God only knows what a bad ass he was in his prime. He had the lot of them laid out in record time. All we had left to do was truss them up as presents for the local LEO’s. Then he picked up the little kid who was in hysterics and with just a few words had him smiling. Now I like kids well enough but I’m not exactly a kid friendly kind of guy. I’ve never seen anyone that’s as good with kids as Superman is. So then we left before the cops got there with the lady the bad guys were going to mug staying behind to talk to the cops and press charges. Now it’s not that exciting every night by a long shot. But then a slow night means no one is being messed with which is a good thing. Now I put this here for 3 reasons. To show you what a committed properly trained group can do. To let you know exactly what kind of a guy you have as Principal. But mostly to go on record as saying... Superman the guys and I want you with us on patrol way more often than you are now. It shows the newbies how old school guys like you and Web take care of business. Nothing beats a live demonstration.

Force, I'm looking to come out to New York. I would more likely have a better job opportunities out there. I'm hoping I will be able to find a part-time job and also take classes part-time. Also I can help with this non-profit stuff.

Sorry I didn't mean that out of disrespect, I heard a similar quote in a tv program, but it's true, your never too old to do what we do, even if it's just being a mentor to the new guys etc, either way were still doing good thins out there

I didn't take it as such nor do I think others will. I was just mentioning this tale proves that one should always be respectful to their elders especially, older RLSH types. Never know when they might take out the proverbial pugal stick.

Well gang I’m reminded of a line from a country song. “ I may not be as good as I once was but I’m as good once as I ever was” It was fun but I am paying for being so frisky now. It’s a good thing I have muscle relaxers and pain pills at the house from previous injuries or I’d be stiff as a board right now. I need to be in way better shape before I go active full time again. I imagine by now you all have figured out I have a soft spot for kids and damsels in distress. So when I saw these assholes attacking them my switches flipped and my old training took over. When I do get back in better shape it would be a hoot to be more active on patrols using the bad guys for free demonstration dummies. But if I do I’ll have to cobble up a new hero suit and possibly a new ID. Then I’ll have to work a way past a far more formidable force than you will ever encounter on the streets. My wife Lauri. Right now I am pretty well known as Superman. A new guy exactly my size etc popping up in the group that you never see when I’m around would likely be the world’s worst kept secret identity. Do you guys think it would be OK if I kept the name and did my own Earth Agent’s version of a Superman Suit?

It's up to you, but i'm sort of thinking of getting a new Identity and it's no easy task, t's a good thing you have a team, if it had went badly it might have been worse if you were on your own, thats kinda my problem at the moment I don't have a uniform and I don't have a team

The name you have seems fine to me. As far as costumes go it will be simple enough to make one including a mask like the one on your icon. As it happens I design suits. I made the one The Force wears and it looks exactly like his icon. Mostly because I made the suit and then did the picture to match it. L.O.L. When I 1st started I was a lone wolf but I soon started gathering a support group. Otherwise I would have never been as effective as I was.
